Environmentally friendly power generation

To stop the global warming, it is important not to increase the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere any further. This gas has a similar effect to the walls of the Berlin greenhouse: it prevents the heat radiated from the sun from reaching the outside (into space).

The carbon dioxide that the fish exhale is converted back into oxygen by the plants during photosynthesis. However, the aquaponic facility cannot do without electricity. Pumps that circulate the water, heating elements that heat it, and low-pressure fans that oxygenate it for the fish must also be supplied as well as sodium vapor lamps, cold traps and the ventilation system of the aquaponic system. Most of the world's electricity is still produced by burning fossil fuels such as oil or gas. This creates a lot of carbon dioxide, which is why I try to do it ITUC1)do without electricity from the grid. Instead, a photovoltaic system on the roof of the aquaculture produces clean electricity without emitting carbon dioxide. The amount is not yet sufficient to cover the complete demand, but the IGB is planning to build a biogas plant that will generate electricity from the organic waste from the lamellar filter, and to expand the photovoltaic system.
