Sucrose

It is the common sugar, also known as table sugar or cane sugar. Has chemical formula C12H22O11.

Mainly found in sugar cane and sugar beet.

Sucrose is the result of the condensation of one glucose molecule and one fructose.

In Brazil, sucrose is obtained through the crystallization of sugarcane juice. In Europe, this glycide is mainly obtained from sugar beet.

It is used in pharmaceutical products such as food and beverage sweetener, in the production of jellies, candies, syrups, etc.
